It bolts right up to a 3" BDL drive with the motor plate, and is easily adapted to other belt drive systems with owner-fabricated mounts. The space between the fins is open so you can see through to the pulleys.

This item has a fine satin finish and the edges of the fins are highlight polished.

Note: BDL recently changed the cover bolt pattern on their primary drive. If you have a drive made prior to 2007 this will bolt up as-is. If you have the newer drive you will need our adapter kit.

To be able to tell whether you need the adapter or not measure the vertical spacing on the rear cover mounting bolt holes. If it is 4" you don’t need the adapter, if it is 4.5" you need the adapter.

For some reason BDL decided to change the bolt pattern on their primary drives last year. Unfortunately it meant that everyone was destined to have mismatched primary drives and covers.

Well, no more. We make the rugged adapter for the old style cover to the new style primary drive plate.

Here is how to tell whether you have the old style or new style drive: measure the vertical distance between the two rear cover mount bolts (the two next to the transmission). They will either be 4" or 4.5" apart, center-to-center. 4" is the old style primary plate, our "Bad Attitude cover" will bolt right on. 4.5" is the new style drive plate, you need the adapter to mount our finned cover.

This adapter can be used with any old-style primary cover on a new style backing plate.
